The all-new 2024 Hyundai Kona made a splash at the New York International Auto Show in April, showcasing an array of exciting updates set to hit the market this summer. One of the key improvements in the 2024 Hyundai Kona is its increased interior space and versatility. The vehicle's dimensions have been stretched in terms of length, width, and wheelbase, translating to a larger cabin and substantial cargo space. The 2024 Kona now boasts a cargo capacity of 723 L, an increase in legroom for rear passengers, more headroom in the front, and expanded shoulder room, both front and back. This revamped version is notably more spacious and adaptable, catering to the requirements of young families and adventure seekers, and offering one of the most generous interiors in its segment.
The 2024 Hyundai Kona continues to shine with its diverse powertrain options. The standard model features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Atkinson cycle powertrain, producing 147 hp and 132 pound-feet of torque, paired with a Smartstream Intelligent Variable transmission. This Atkinson cycle powertrain is engineered for optimal fuel economy.
The 2024 Kona N Line trim, the top-of-the-line model, ramps up the performance with a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder powertrain that generates 190 hp and 195 pound-feet of torque. Paired with a brand-new eight-speed automatic gearbox, this powerful engine delivers smooth acceleration and passing across the rev range, leading the segment in horsepower and torque. The new Kona is available in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive variants, and the longer wheelbase, improved rigidity, and finely-tuned chassis ensure superior comfort and agility. The sporty Kona N Line is further enhanced with 19-inch N Line alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, a dual-outlet exhaust, sport seating with red accents, and a unique body design for a sportier stance.
